Banana Bread

  • ½ cup shortening

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 bananas

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • Nuts (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degree F

  2. Cream the sugar and the shortening

  3. Add the eggs and the bananas and mash well to make a paste

  4. Slowly add the flour and baking soda until you make a smooth batter

  5. Pour the batter into a well-greased bread loaf pan

  6. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degree F, and a toothpick comes out clean from the bread at the largest part
