Montreal Steak Seasoning
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons whole peppercorns
1 Tablespoon whole coriander seeds
1 Tablespoon dehydrated onion
2 Tablespoon dehydrated garlic
1 Tablespoon dill seed
1 Tablespoon red chili flakes
1 Tablespoon paprika
2 Tablespoon kosher salt
Method
Place the garlic, paprika, onion, and kosher salt into a small bowl.
Lightly toast the coriander and dill seeds, pepper flakes, and peppercorns in a small pan over medium heat until fragrant.
Place the toasted ingredients into the bowl with the rest of the seasonings and mix well.
Place the mixture into a food mill, food processor, or coffee grinder, or use a mortar and pestle to grind down the seeds.
Place the mixture in a sealed container and keep it out of the sun. Makes ¾ cup.
