Buckwheat pancakes are hearty, nutty, and naturally flavorful pancakes made with buckwheat flour. They have a rustic texture, a slightly earthy taste, and pair beautifully with maple syrup, fresh fruit, butter, or savory toppings
Buckwheat Pancakes
Ingredients
1 cup buckwheat flour
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
2 Tablespoon molasses
1 cup milk
1 Tablespoon oil
Method
Heat a lightly greased griddle or pan over medium-high heat.
Whisk the buckwheat flour, salt, and baking powder in a small bowl.
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, molasses, milk and oil.
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, and then pour ¼ cup portions onto the hot griddle or pan
Cook until the top is bubbly, then flip and cook until the center is set, about 2-3 minutes per side
Serve immediately
