Chili Seasoning Dip

Makes: About 1 cup

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup of sour cream

• 1/2 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt

• 1 Tablespoon Chef John Politte’s Chili Seasoning

• 1 teaspoon lime juice

• 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional

• 1 Tablespoons chopped green onions or cilantro, optional

Method

1. In a medium bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, chili seasoning mix, and lime juice until smooth.

2. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and green onions or cilantro, if using.

3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can blend.

4. Stir before serving. Taste and add a little more chili seasoning if you want a stronger flavor.

6. Serve with tortilla chips, corn chips, crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables such as bell pepper strips, carrots, celery, and cucumber slices.
