1/2 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
2 tablespoons water
Method
Combine apricot preserves, ketchup, white vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a small saucepan.
Stir water and cornstarch together and add to the pan if you’d like a thicker sauce.
Place over medium heat, stirring often, until the sauce is smooth and thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
Take off the heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
