Wet Wet Sauce


  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced thin

  • 2 Tablespoons minced garlic

  • 2 Tablespoons minced ginger

  • 3 Tablespoons chili flakes

  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • ¼ cup tamari sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar



  1. In a large (1 quart) heat-safe bowl. Add the green onion, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, and sesame seeds.

  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat until hot.  Pour slowly over the aromatic mixture in the bowl, stir well, and allow to cool a bit.

  3. Stir in the tamari, oyster sauce, and rice wine vinegar. Transfer the mixture to a container with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate for up to three weeks.
