Char Siu Chicken Thighs
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon allspice
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
2 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon ketchup
2 teaspoons sesame oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Method
Add all the ingredients but the chicken to a large bowl and stir well. This is your marinade
Remove 2 tablespoons of the marinade for later.
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and thoroughly coat them with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
Using a cast-iron pan or a charcoal grill, cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Use the marinade you removed to baste the chicken while cooking.
