Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 red pepper, roughly cut

  • 1 onion, roughly cut

  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced

  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced

  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced

  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 Tablespoon water


Method

  1. Add the vegetable oil to a large skillet or wok over medium to medium-high heat, allowing the oil to heat up.

  2. Add the garlic and the ginger and stir until fragrant.

  3. Add the broccoli florets, peppers, and onions, stir well, and allow to cook for about 4-5 minutes.

  4. Add the chicken and continue to cook until the vegetables begin to soften

  5. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce, and continue to stir-fry

  6. In a small bowl, add the cornstarch to the water to make a slurry, then add the slurry to the center of the wok/pan and stir until the sauce begins to thicken

  7. Turn the heat down, continue to stir, and allow to heat throughout

  8. Serve on rice or with noodles, top with sesame seeds and green onion slices.
