A Chicken Bacon and Cheese Omelet is a hearty dish with fluffy eggs, chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese, and mushrooms, topped with herbs for added flavor.
Chicken Bacon and Cheese Omelet
Ingredients
3 eggs
½ cup cooked and diced chicken meat
2 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled
2 slices of Swiss cheese
½ cup sliced mushrooms
1 tablespoon diced green chilies
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish
Method
Make sure your chicken is cooked and diced, bacon is crumbled, mushrooms are sliced, and green chilies are ready to go.
In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and whisk them until well blended—season with salt and pepper to your taste.
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add a little oil or butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the diced chicken, crumbled bacon, and green chilies. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
Spread the ingredients evenly in the skillet and then pour the whisked eggs over the top. Cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until the edges start to set.
Lay the slices of Swiss cheese on one half of the omelet.
Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, gently fold the omelet in half to cover the cheese. Allow it to cook for another minute until the cheese melts.
Slide the omelet onto a plate and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
