Parmesan peppers are an easy and flavorful dish. Roasted peppers are mixed with garlic, thyme, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice for a tasty side.










Parmesan Peppers

Ingredients

  • 6 peppers (any kind you like)

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 8 thyme sprigs

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Wash and slice peppers. Remove seeds and stems.

  3. Peel and slice the garlic.

  4. Pull leaves off half the thyme sprigs.

  5. Put peppers in a bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  6. Spread peppers on a baking sheet. Add the rest of the thyme sprigs on top.

  7. Roast for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway. Peppers should be soft and a little browned.

  8. Put roasted peppers on a plate. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and squeeze lemon juice over them.


Serve warm. Enjoy!

  • Try different peppers for new flavors.

  • Use other herbs like rosemary or oregano if you don’t have thyme.

  • You can grill the peppers instead of roasting them.
