Sambal Oelek


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of peppers

  • 1 jalapeno pepper

  • 1 serrano pepper

  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic

  • juice from one lime

  • sea salt to taste



Method

  1. Remove the stems from the peppers. Removing the seeds is optional

  2. Remove the skin from the garlic cloves

  3. Put all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and pulse until you have a pureed mixture

  4. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks
