Taco Bell Mild Sauce


  • 3 cups water

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1 6oz. can tomato paste

  • 3 Tablespoon vinegar

  • 4 teaspoon chili powder

  • 2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper


  1. In a small saucepan heat 3 cups of water

  2. Add the cornstarch and bring to a simmer stirring the whole time

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a slight boil, continuing to stir

  4. After the sauce has slightly thickened, turn the heat to low, and let simmer for about 10 minutes, continuing to stir from time to time

  5. Cool completely and store in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks
