Taco Bell Mild Sauce is a tangy and zesty condiment made with a blend of spices, vinegar, and tomato puree. It's not too spicy and can be enjoyed with tacos, burritos, or as a dipping sauce for chips.
Taco Bell Mild Sauce
Ingredients
3 cups water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 6-ounce can of tomato paste
3 Tablespoons vinegar
4 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Method
In a small saucepan, heat 3 cups of water
Add the cornstarch and bring to a simmer, stirring the whole time
Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a slight boil, continuing to stir
After the sauce has slightly thickened, turn the heat to low, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, continuing to stir from time to time
Cool completely and store in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks

This is a hit at my house. I think it might taste more like the red sauce they put on their burritos than the packets of mild sauce but we still love it. We discovered that it tastes better after it's been refrigerated.
