A taco pizza is a creative fusion of classic Italian pizza and the bold flavors of Mexican cuisine. It starts with a traditional pizza crust that is topped with a zesty tomato-based sauce, often seasoned with taco spices. Instead of the usual pizza toppings, taco pizza features seasoned ground beef or chicken, refried beans, and a blend of cheeses such as cheddar and mozzarella.
Taco Pizza
Ingredients
1 Boboli pizza crust
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning (like Chef Politte’s)
1 can refried beans
1 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ yellow bell pepper, diced
½ orange bell pepper, diced
½ red onion, diced
Sour cream
tortilla chips
Method
Heat oven to 425°F.
Brown ground beef in a pan; drain fat. Stir in chili seasoning.
Warm refried beans so they’re easy to spread.
Spread beans on the pizza crust. Top with cooked beef, then cheese, peppers, onions, and crushed tortilla chips
Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts.
Slice and serve with sour cream.
Tip
Add jalapeños or cilantro if you like extra flavor.
