This whole grain tortilla pizza blends a whole hearty grain crust with rich tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella. Spicy pepperoni, earthy mushrooms, and vibrant bell peppers create a medley of flavors and textures—crispy, chewy, juicy, and savory. The whole grain base adds nutrition, while the toppings provide vivid color and satisfying taste.
Whole Grain Tortilla Pizza
Ingredients
2 whole grain 10-inch tortillas
1/3 cup chopped roasted red peppers
1/3 cup pizza sauce
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/2 cup chopped sweet pepper
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
16 thin slices turkey pepperoni
1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese
Method
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Sauté red onion, sweet pepper, and mushrooms with olive oil in a skillet for about 5 minutes until just tender.
Lay tortillas on a baking sheet. Spread pizza sauce over each, then sprinkle half of the cheese.
Top with sautéed veggies, roasted red peppers, and turkey pepperoni. Add remaining cheese.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until cheese melts and tortillas are crisp.
Slice, serve hot, and enjoy!
Tips
Customize with your favorite veggies or add a sprinkle of chili flakes for heat.
Leftovers store well in the fridge; reheat in the oven to keep crisp.
