Turmeric chicken is a flavorful dish made with chicken, turmeric, garlic, ginger, cumin, and other spices. The chicken is cooked in a rich sauce and is served with rice or naan.




Turmeric Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 Tablespoon ground turmeric

  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3 Tablespoons Tamari sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon honey

  • 1 shallot, minced

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh garlic, minced

  • 1 cup fresh green beans

  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Method

  1. In a small dish, mix the turmeric, salt, and pepper

  2. Place the diced chicken in a large bowl and sprinkle the turmeric mixture over the chicken. Use your hands to rub the chicken with the turmeric mixture and get it well-coated

  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil and let it heat up. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 5 minutes.

  4. Add the shallots, garlic, and green beans. Stir and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. Add the tamari sauce and honey, and stir well. Cook until the sauce has reduced by half and thickened.

Serve with rice. Top with red pepper flakes
