Deep Fried Artichoke Hearts

Ingredients
1 can whole artichoke hearts
3 eggs
2 cups breadcrumbs of your choice
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1 orange
3 cups vegetable oil
Method
Drain the artichokes and cut in half lengthwise
Whip the eggs with the lemon pepper and ginger
Create a dredging station with the beaten eggs and the breadcrumbs
In a large frying pan, heat the oil to medium high
Dredge the artichoke hearts in the egg was, and then coat them evenly with the breadcrumbs, set onto a paper towel lined plate
Gently place the breaded artichoke hearts into the heated oil, and fry them until they are golden brown
Place the cooked artichoke onto another paper towel lined plate and drain for a bit
Serve with a sauce and orange slices
