Easy Fried Tofu


  • 1 package extra firm tofu

  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil

  • ¼ cup soy sauce


  1. Press and drain the tofu to release as much liquid as possible from the block

  2. Cut into ½ inch dice and set aside

  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the oil and get hot

  4. Add the tofu into the oil, being careful not to crowd the pan.

  5. Cook each piece of tofu on each side until the tofu develops a nice color crust

  6. Add the soy sauce and deglaze the pan with the soy sauce to perfume the tofu

  7. Turn off the heat, remove from pan onto a plate or bowl

Top with green onions, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds
