Falafel Burger



Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chickpeas

  • 2 cups cooked brown rice

  • ¼ cup vegetable broth

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 ½ Tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons dehydrated garlic

  • 2 teaspoons dehydrated onion

  • 2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 2 teaspoon mustard powder

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Whole wheat buns

  • Toppings of your choice

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, rice, broth, parsley, lemon juice, garlic and onion powder, coriander, red pepper flakes, mustard, paprika, and pepper. Mix on low for about 45 seconds. Do not over mix into hummus. Stop and scrape the sides to get everything mixed evenly

  4. Spoon out ½ cup of the chickpea mixture and form into a patty. Place the patty on the baking sheet. Repeat until all the mixture is used

  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the patties, cook for 15 minutes more, and serve on the buns with your favorite toppings

  6. Yield will vary
