Kimchi Shrimp


  • 1 pound cooked or raw shrimp, cleaned

  • ½ cup ground or roughly chopped kimchi

  • 3 tablespoon butter

  • 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic

  • 1 Tablespoon chopped ginger

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

  • ½ lime

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped


  1. Pulse the kimchi in a food processor until ground into a paste.

  2. Over medium high heat, melt the butter in a large frying pan or wok, add the shrimp add heat through, while adding the garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes.

  3. Squeeze in the lime juice and cover with lid for 2 minutes and then add the kimchi paste and cilantro.

  4. Stir well and cover again for another 2 minutes until completely hot. Serve with pasta or rice.
