Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with our cheesy Kimchi Tater Tots Casserole recipe. This delicious dish combines crispy tater tots, savory kimchi, melted cheese, and a flavorful blend of spices.
1-pound package of tater tots
4 Tablespoons butter
1 ½ cup chopped cabbage kimchi
6 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded pepper Jack cheese
1 jalapeno thinly sliced
Chopped fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Cook Tater tots according to package directions
Blend the kimchi in a blender and set aside
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the kimchi and the flour and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the kimchi is covered with flour. Stir in the milk and bring to a simmer. Cook on simmer until thickened, and season with salt and pepper.
Divide the cooked tater tots onto one large, or three smaller oven-proof dishes. Spoon the kimchi gravy evenly over the tots, and top with cheese.
Bake until the cheese melts. About 5 minutes
Top with sliced jalapenos, and the chopped parsley
