Beef bulgogi is a popular Korean dish featuring tender, marinated beef, typically ribeye or sirloin, infused with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and pepper. Grilled or stir-fried, it’s served with rice and side dishes like kimchi, often enjoyed wrapped in lettuce. Its rich flavor and appealing presentation capture the essence of Korean cuisine.
Beef Bulgogi
Ingredients:
¼ soy sauce
3 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons honey
4 Tablespoons pear juice
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 Tablespoons sesame oil
¼ teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces of sirloin strip or ribeye steak
Method
Stir the first seven ingredients together to make a marinade.
Cut the sirloin or the ribeye steak into strips 1 inch long and very thin
Marinate the beef for 1 hour
Without any oil, grill or use a wok to sear and cook the meat until it is cooked
Add the remaining marinade and cook down about half.
Serve over rice or noodles.
