Shrimp with Snow Peas
Ingredients
1-pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
½ cup chicken broth
2 teaspoon rice wine
1 ½ teaspoon soy sauce
1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch
¾ teaspoon sugar
1 Tablespoon plus two teaspoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
6 ounces washed and dried snow peas
Method
Combine the broth, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.
Heat the wok over medium-high heat. Add oil to the wok and cook the shrimp in a single layer for 3-4 minutes, until they are pink. Add the ginger and garlic, and stir-fry for an additional 15 seconds. Add the pea pods and stir-fry for another minute.
Stir the cornstarch mixture, add it to the wok, and bring it to a boil. Stir-fry the shrimp and pea pods for about 2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
